Dell to launch smartphones in time – whenever that is
Not long after rumors about Dell’s smartphones being rejected by carriers have appeared, we’re now hearing that, in fact, the American company’s handsets are on track for a launch later this year.
DigiTimes has it that Michael Dell himself confirmed the Dell-branded smartphones are “on schedule”, although he didn’t say when exactly they will be released.
The company’s CEO has also not mentioned anything about the reported carrier rejection or about re-designing its smartphone prototypes.
Apparently, Dell will collaborate with Foxconn Electronics for the handsets’ hardware part.

At the moment, we know Dell is readying at least one Android and one Windows Mobile smartphone, so let’s hope they’ll both be introduced before the year’s end.
