LG to make fewer notebooks, more cheap QWERTY and touchscreen phones
LG is not only the world’s third largest handset manufacturer, but also an important notebook producer.
However, because of the low demand on the laptop market, the South Korean giant indents to concentrate more on making affordable touchscreen and QWERTY mobile phones, rather than notebooks.
Handsets like the QWERTY-equipped LG KS360 and the full-touch LG Cookie are very popular across Europe, mainly due to their relatively cheap retail prices.
So it’s kind of logical for LG to try and make new devices that are similar to these two.

(LG Cookie in white, available for only £99.99 in the UK)
It’s said that, later this year, LG will introduce more such handsets. Reportedly, they will be either thinner and with more advanced features, or they’ll just be ultra-basic (in order to have cheaper prices). Either way, they will come in various color versions.
