Opera Mobile 9.7 to be showcased at CTIA Wireless 2009

Opera Software has just announced that Opera Mobile 9.7 will be officially unveiled at CTIA Wireless 2009 (1 – 3 April, Las Vegas).

The new version of the popular mobile browser will come with several important improvements, including the addition of Opera Turbo.

Opera Turbo is a compression engine that can compress data with up to 80%, enabling carriers to reduce “unwanted traffic” and allowing end users to enjoy a faster browsing experience.

Opera Mobile 9.7 will also feature the Presto 2.2 rendering engine (used in Opera 10 for desktop), as well as complete support for dynamic Web technologies (including Flash and Ajax).
