AT&T starts offering netbooks for as low as $49.99
AT&T, the former No.1 US mobile carrier, announced it now sells 3G netbooks (mini laptops) via select shops in Atlanta and Philadelphia.
The available netbooks include the following models: Dell Inspiron Mini 9, Dell Inspiron Mini 12, Acer Aspire One and LG Xenia.
With a 2-yr contract agreement and the AT&T Internet at Home and On the Go plan (minimum $59.95 per month), the netbooks’ prices range from $49.99 to $249.99. You can also get the netbooks with a 2-yr AT&T DataConnect plan, in which case their prices range from $99.99 to $349.99.
Sans contract, the mini laptops cost between $449.99 and $599.99.
All devices are preloaded with AT&T Communication Manager, which helps you in managing their wireless connections (Wi-Fi or 3G).

AT&T also said it offers the Lenovo X200 3G laptop, for as low as $749.99 (if bought with the Internet at Home and On the Go plan).
No word yet on when AT&T will start selling netbooks in other locations except Atlanta and Philadelphia.
