#CTIA 09: LG Neon Pictured, Video’d
Being such a simple messaging phone has its perks, but when it gets announced with five other tantalizing handsets it seems to be pushed out of the limelight as a result. This is what I feel happened with the LG Neon as it was announced to be one of the newest additions to AT&T’s bulging lineup of messaging phones.
The Neon isn’t a bad-looking phone at all, but there isn’t much to it beyond the QWERTY. It lacks 3G but it does throw in a 2 MP camera. Not shabby for a phone that should be somewhere around $30 with contract. Really, it seems to me that this particular offering is for the heavy texters (and I was told by LG that the Neon was made more for the female crowd) who don’t need the extra bells and whistles that powerhouses like the Impression and Xenon will bring to the lineup.
