#CTIA09: Examining the Samsung Magnet for AT&T

Of the six major phones announced this week to be coming on AT&T soon, we were happy to take a gander at all six of them at CTIA. A couple of the phones such as the Samsung Impression and Nokia E71x hogged most of the attention as all the buzz seemed to be upon them.

One of the phones left out of the spotlight at CTIA was the Samsung Magnet. In fact, I quickly discovered that the Magnet was nowhere to be found in the Samsung booth! After asking around, one of the reps graciously found a Magnet for me to play with.

There’s good reason why the Magnet has been left out of the spotlight — there’s really not much to it, when compared to the Impression, S30, and Propel Pro that debuted at the show. It’s just a simple messaging device sans 3G and GPS and all the goodies that come on every other phone.

But that doesn’t stop us from taking pictures and bringing them to you. So check out the pics to see if the Magnet is right for you.
