T-Mobile G2 may be named “G3″, “myTouch 3G”, “Genius 3G” or “Prism 3G”
The release date of T-Mobile’s second Android smartphone still has a big question mark above it, and now it looks like its official name is in the same situation.
While almost everyone thinks the new Android handset will be called T-Mobile G2 (logically, since it comes after the G1), the device might actually have a different moniker.
And no, that’s not HTC Sapphire and neither HTC Magic – the latter name is probably for Vodafone only.
Some leaked snapshots, unveiled by T-Mo News, show us the following possible monikers for the upcoming smartphone:
- T-Mobile G3
- T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google
- T-Mobile Genius 3G with Google
- T-Mobile Prism 3G with Google

OK, so what’s with the G3 moniker? Is there a yet-unseen G2 that’s not the HTC Magic and will be released via T-Mobile too? Hard to tell.
Anyway, assuming the new smartphone will not be dubbed T-Mobile G2, what name from the above-mentioned ones would you choose?
