T-Mobile USA launch event scheduled for April 21. G2 announcement?
By Ilinca Nita on 09 Apr 09T-Mobile‘s second Android smartphone (known as HTC Magic in Europe) is coming soon and that’s a fact.
The handset was already approved by the FCC, and we’ve also seen some possible official names for it, including G3, myTouch 3G and Genius 3G.
Now we’re hearing T-Mo is preparing a “private launch event” which, according to Engadget, is scheduled for April 21 in New York City.
It’s obvious that the US carrier will announce something during this event, and it’s likely for that something to be the new Android-powered G2.
Of course, it might be just the Cupcake update for the G1, or the new 3G Sidekick which just passed the FCC. But would these deserve a big launch event?
Guess we have to wait and find out.
