Its me again. Scott C. Waring. This is my update. I have had my iphone 3GS for 2 months and the only problem is that my iphone's batteries dies in just 5-8 hours, so I have to shut off my 3G so I can not call out. This is very inconvenient to me. This phone sucks its batteries dry fast. I even had to stop allowing my apps to update themselves, and i switched it off.

My advice is don't buy one till Apple gets this battery problem fixed. Here in Taiwan, the humidity is bad, and I heard that is a big factor. All in all, I hate the short battery life, but love this phones increadible functions and being able to take a photo and upload it to twitter or facebook or youtube. So cool.

I got the new iphone 3GS. I have been using it since the first day it was released in Taiwan. The photo apps and its great auto focus are amazing. The addition of video is fantastic. 3.2 megapixal is the same quality of my first digital Sony Camera. It does just fine.

I use the apps on it everyday, less games but alot of photo apps, blog updating apps and such. I give this phone 5 stars out of 5.

Taiwan Release date is sometime in August…so I can't wait to get my hands on one, maybe two if wife doesnt share with me..LOL

3.2 MP with autofocus….so nice! Plus 50,000 apps on itunes or close to 15,000 free apps!
It doesnt get any better than this. The autofocus will make it equal to many 5 MP camera phones out there. And the movie taking ability is much appreciated.

i dont give a stuff how many mega pixels, If the next model doesnt have a zeon flash and auto focus then Im buying a nokia and they will miss out on my money for another 5 years. Please apple, I dont want much, just to be able to take a 'reasonable' pic in most conditions eg. at night when I use it most. The tech has been around for a few years now apple, come on. Im thinking it needs the nokia N82's camera

I honestly feel like the only downfall (and I mean the ONLY one) is the camera. It is pretty weak. Look forward to the change.

these “new” additions are sad. I realize some will buy and or upgrade simply because they are there and this is “new”… but really, a measly 3.2MP camera, really; it's better, but hardly.

iPhone owners… I'd “suggest” giving it a few years between upgrades, Apple is intentionally releasing these simple upgrades to gank your wallet. Higher res cameras, BT 2.0 (soon 3.0), GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, etc. have all been available for YEARS now.

If I were you (I know I'm not), I'd not waste my money until there have been more than a few simple upgrades. Preferably, to at least match the most high end device available now. ex. the Nokia N95 5MP or Casio's W53CA Exilim 5MP or Samsung Pixon 8MP or LG's KC-910 8MP and so on and so on. And that's just the camera (not to mention the other features).
