Apple to make two devices for Verizon, one of them being an “iPhone lite”

Rumors about an iPhone for Verizon are really starting to heat up. After yesterday’s report, now we have more (unconfirmed) info about the presumed Apple-Verizon partnership.

According to BusinessWeek, Apple is readying not one, but two new devices for the giant CDMA carrier.

One of them is said to be an affordable handset described as an “iPhone lite” – perhaps this is the long-rumored iPhone Nano, which should be smaller than a regular iPhone, as well as cheaper.

The second Apple device which might reach Verizon is a “media pad” featuring music/video player, photo viewer and Wi-Fi (for placing calls).

It’s said that one of the two mentioned devices may be launched by Verizon during the summer.

Of course, until something official about this comes up, neither Verizon nor Apple fans should get their hopes up.
