Sprint debuts Palm Pre sweepstakes, might release the handset before June
Earlier this morning, when I received an email from Palm with the title “Enter to win a Palm Pre from Sprint”, I thought that some new details about Pre’s release date could be in it.
And, well, there are.
First of all, Sprint is organizing a contest, officially called the “Live In Real Time Palm Pre Giveaway Sweepstakes”, which will allow two contestant to win a Pre, a Touchstone charging dock and 1 year of Sprint Simply Everything service.
The Sweepstakes is open to US residents who are 18 years of age or older, and can be entered here. It ends on Monday, May 18, 2009, while the winners will be selected “on or about May 26, 2009.”

The above-mentioned dates might mean that Sprint will release the Palm Pre before the end of May, and not in June, as rumored several times. Well, that would be great. And it would give the Pre an advantage over the new iPhone, which should be announced in June.
