Samsung flexible AMOLED displays to enter mass production soon
Samsung has quite an impressive line-up of phones with AMOLED displays (including the unreleased-yet devices), so it’s only natural for the company to try and develop the AMOLED technology even further.
Samsung Mobile Display, a joint venture between Samsung SDI and Samsung Electronics, has recently announced that it managed to develop the world’s first flexible AMOLED display with a 6.5 inch diagonal.
The company used a new technology, which requires lower production costs. This means that flexible AMOLED displays will soon enter mass production.

Flexible AMOLED displays could be used in next-gen mobile devices – you know, handsets similar the Nokia Morph concept.
Of course, for the moment, we can’t say when these types of displays will be commercially available.
