Unlocked Sony Ericsson W995a to hit the US for $600
Announced at the same time with Sony Ericsson Idou (which is now called Satio), the Sony Ericsson W995 will be launched in the US this summer, as Sony Ericsson W995a.
The W995a should be available starting July 6, with “pre-sale items available on or about 06/29/2009.”
Unfortunately, the Walkman flagship phone has a pretty steep price: it will retail for $599.99, unlocked.
Apparently, there won’t be any US carrier to offer the handset, so if you really want it you’ll have no choice but to buy it at this price.

- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
