OK, we know that HTC is getting ready to unveil something new on June 24 in London, but what exactly will that be?
Well, the Chinese daily China Times reports that HTC plans to announce a new Android smartphone which will come with a TouchFlo 3D UI on top. You know, the TouchFlo 3D UI that’s being successfully used on Windows Mobile smartphones like the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro.
This being said, it’s likely that the newly annouced device will be a long rumored HTC Hero, running on Android 2.0 Donut OS with TouchFlo 3D interface on top and slated for shipping in September.
Or the HTC Hero, plus another device? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The TouchFlo 3D UI would surely differentiate the new handsets from the G1 and the Magic (which are the only two Android phones available on the market at the moment).
It will also start the trend of adding 3d party interfaces on top of Android, which other big handset vendors plan to follow (e.g Samsung TouchWiz, LG S-Class) in their Android 2.0 phones.
So what do you think, could TouchFlo and Android make a good pair?
