I was affected big time! Bought mine Saturday morning at 8 - still not working today. I've dealt with several reps (Apple and AT&T) who had no answers, only apologies. As of yet, I haven't received my $30 itunes credit but if anyone should fit the eligibility - it would be me. Called Apple, asked them about it - they had no idea what I was talking about.
