Verizon drops smartphone prices to under $100
Verizon Wireless has recently decided to drop the prices of most of its smartphones to $99.99 and lower.
In consequence, you can now buy, for example, the HTC Touch Pro for only $99.99 on contract.
However, some smartphones still cost more than $100 – like the new BlackBerry Tour and the Windows Mobile Samsung Saga, both priced at $199.99 with a 2-yr agreement.
The price cuts are most probably related to the fact that Verizon is readying a new batch of smartphones – including the HTC Touch Pro2, the BlackBerry Storm 2 and a Motorola Android device.

Well, let’s hope that it won’t be long until new handsets make their way to Verizon’s shelves.
