The cortex A8 has an IPC thats roughly 2x that of the ARM11. It has a deeper pipeline, better branch prediction, speculative execution etc. So the Omnia HD can be expected to perform better than the Jet. Not to mention the dedicated 3D hardware which is absent on the Jet but present in the Omnia HD. So Mhz is just not everything.
