Samsung Corby S3650 gets previewed
Less than 24 hours after its official announcement, the Samsung Corby S3650 got previewed in Russia by Eldar from Mobile-review.
First of all – as you may already know – the Samsung Corby is a budget touchscreen phone targeted at young mobile users. Knowing this, you shouldn’t be surprised to find out that its main features include a 2.8 inch QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.1, MP3 player, stereo FM radio, 2MP camera, and GSM/EDGE connectivity only.
Overall, Corby’s performance is satisfying: the widget-ready UI works well, the camera interface is user-friendly, the NetFront 3.5 web browser is fast enough and so on.
Some minuses: the display is “extremely washed out” in direct sunlight, and there’s no virtual QWERTY keyboard.

Here’s the Corby S3650 next to the Samsung Star S5230 (sold in more than 5 million units until now):

Samsung Corby S3650 will be available in Europe starting this month, for only €150 ($215) – that’s why it will probably be a best-seller, although there are other touchscreen phones priced similarly (like Nokia 5230 and LG Cookie).
