Nokia Social Messaging and Lifecast with Ovi detailed
Apart from presenting its new phones (N97 mini, X6 and X3), today Nokia has also unveiled novelties on the software side, including Nokia Social Messaging and LIfecast with Ovi.
Part of Nokia Messaging, Social Messaging is designed to become a “multi-community social networking client”.
Nokia Social Messaging is still in beta, so it only includes Facebook-related features. Users can “jump directly into posts to comment” from the contextual homescreen widget, share their current location, view friends’ location, and so on.

Social Messaging beta can be downloaded from here. It is currently available only for Nokia N97 and Nokia 6700 classic, but more devices will be added soon.
Below you have a video preview of Nokia Social Messaging beta:
Lifecast with Ovi, also called Ovi lifecasting, is a widget that lets you share where you are and what you do with your Facebook friends. Ovi lifecasting will come preloaded on Nokia N97 mini. Until then, the widget can be downloaded from here.
