BlackBerry Bold 9700 (Onyx) for T-Mobile appears in press photo

Not long after we saw it in a live image, T-Mobile’s BlackBerry Onyx has now appeared, for the first time, in an official photo.

The unannounced smartphone will probably be called BlackBerry Bold 9700 when released.

Spotted over at Cio, the official BlackBerry Onyx photo shows exactly what we’ve expected to see: a good looking QWERTY smartphone with an optical trackpad (instead of RIM’s traditional trackball).

The features of BlackBerry Onyx for T-Mobile will include 3G, Wi-Fi, visual voicemail, access to BlackBerry App World, TeleNav GPS Navigator, and an Amazon MP3 application.

T-Mobile intends to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9700 Onyx before the end of 2009, probably at about the same time with AT&T.
