Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet now official; Archos Android Phone Tablet coming soon
Archos, the French company best known for making portable music players, has officially unveiled its first Android-based device, called Archos 5 Internet Tablet.
The new Android Internet Tablet from Archos comes with quite many nice features, including: 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HD video support, TV recording, FM transmitter, Bluetooth, and access to the Archos AppsLib store – where users will find Android apps especially made for the Archos Internet Tablet.

Despite previous rumors, the Archos 5 Internet Tablet does not have phone capabilities, although it can make VoiP calls over Wi-Fi. The device should be available online starting today, for prices ranging from £199.99 ($330) to £369.99 ($610).
According to Electricpig, Archos is also getting ready to launch an Android Phone Tablet that’s only 10 mm thin and looks like this:

The Archos Phone Tablet obviously has phone capabilities, as it features HSDPA connectivity. Other specs should include a 4.3-inch touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixels, and a 1GHz ARM processor.
The release date of the Archos Android Phone Tablet is not known.
