Nokia Braille Reader to help visually impaired users read SMS
Nokia has just released a beta application that should allow blind and visually impaired users to read SMS.
Called Nokia Braille Reader, the app works on touchscreen phones, it uses the Braille alphabet and leverages on tactile feedback.
Developed in collaboration with the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired and the Tampere University, Nokia Braille Reader is compatible only with Nokia’s S60 5th Edition smartphones: Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5230 and Nokia X6.
