Samsung Instinct HD announced by Sprint; $249.99 on contract
Sprint’s third Instinct phone, the Samsung Instinct HD, has just been officially announced and it will be available for purchase starting September 27 through Best Buy, and October 11 in Sprint’s retail channels.
The new phone’s price will be as low as $249.99 with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
As expected, the Instinct HD comes with a 5MP autofocus camera and TV-out HD connection, providing photo and video playback on an HD-enabled external device. However, HD playback directly on the phone is not available.

The rest of Instinct HD’s features include:
- 320 x 480 pixels touchscreen display with 16 million colors
- Accelerometer and ambient light sensor
- EV-DO Rev A connectivity
- GPS, Sprint Navigation
- Wi-Fi
- Opera Mobile 9.7
- Corporate and POP3 email
- Stereo Bluetooth
- Mobile Sync
- Visual Voicemail
- Up to 5.8 hours of talk-time
