LG GD510 Pop announced – an even simpler Cookie
Two days after announcing the LG New Chocolate BL20, LG has now gone official with another phone, the LG GD510 Pop.
Unlike the BL20, which appeared in many leaked photos before being announced, the LG GD510 is a completely new handset.
Apparently, LG wants to continue Cookie’s success (sold in more than 7 million units until now), as the GD510 is a really simple handset – it’s presented as “the most compact 3-inch full touchscreen phone ever made.”
Not all the features of LG GD510 Pop were unveiled, but the known ones include:
- 3 inch touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels
- Music and video players
- 3MP camera

The LG GD510 is made from brushed aluminum and has only one button on the front, which can shine either green or red, functioning as a menu key and as a call/end call key. The new phone also has some sort of a solar panel on the back, although LG didn’t mention this in the press release.
LG GD510 Pop will first be available in Europe, sometime in mid-October. Its price was not announced.
