More details on Windows Mobile Marketplace’s Phase 2
Earlier this month, we told you about the Phase 2 of Windows Marketplace for Mobile, which should be ready in November, bringing the Marketplace to WM 6.0 and WM 6.1 phones.
Now this has been confirmed by Maarten Sonneburg from Microsoft Netherlands, who also provided new details regarding the future of Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
By late November/early December, the Marketplace will host many more apps than it does now, both paid and free. Moreover, a “geo selector” feature will allow users to download applications released in other countries than theirs.

At the moment, Windows Marketplace for Mobile is available only for Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones (like AT&T’s HTC Pure, or Verizon’s HTC Imagio).
