Brand-New WIND Mobile’s Initial Lineup Leaked
I must say that there has been a lot of great news for any Canadian fans of cell phones out there; new networks deployed, iPhone available across multiple carriers, new phones coming out. The newest piece of great news though is the introduction of a brand new network in Canada called WIND mobile.
The Mobile Ninjas have quite a bit of information pertaining to the launch of the aforementioned new phone company. Namely, first phones as well as rate plans.
First, there will be 3 rate plans to begin with and no contracts available. On top of that, there is no SAF (system access fee), and any calling within the province is considered a local call.

What about the phones? To start off the smartphone lineup, WIND will release the Blackberry 9700 (Bold 2), HTC Snap, an unnamed Samsung with full keyboard, and Huawei U8220.
Last but not least, one of WIND’s strategies is to put a Microsoft Surface table in every single store. A hefty and pricy measure, perhaps, so we’ll see how well it pays off for them in the end.
This is all from an anonymous source, so certainly take it with a grain of salt. But it is nice to know a little about WIND’s plans to take the Canadian market by storm.
