The Blackberry Storm sequel may have already been officially announced by RIM and Vodafone, but Verizon has naturally been quite tight-lipped about the release of its version of the phone.
Thank our lucky stars for information leaks. Recent merchandising documents have been leaked to PhoneArena which confirm that the Storm 2 will be launching this upcoming Wednesday, and offers details for Verizon stores to be prepared at closing time the night before launch.
So while it is rather odd that Verizon is still not saying anything about this, we have to remember that AT&T did the same thing with the HTC Pure; by the time AT&T actually confirmed the existence of the device, it had already been shipped to stores. We imagine the Storm 2 will be much the same way.
It’s as if Verizon and AT&T are just worried that a last-minute recall may occur, thus making them look like big liars and upsetting a large number of early adopters.
So all the merchandising information included in the screenshot here seem quite detailed and official.
Now we just sit back and wait to make sure all the rumors are correct.
Side note: we also reported rumors of an official launch of the Blackberry 9700 Onyx on October 21. Is this coincidence, or is Blackberry just planning on having a field day on Wednesday?
