Blackberry Bold 9700 Now on Rogers; Prices Cut on Other Blackberry Devices
After months upon months of rumors, previews and fanfare, and 2 weeks after the official announcement, the Blackberry Bold 9700 has found a starter home in Canada on Rogers.
Crackberry spotted the 9700 on sale on Rogers’ website, which is just about as official as you can get. Given the amount of love that Rogers and RIM have for each other, it’s no surprise Rogers would get first dibs at the Bold 9700.
And don’t forget that you getting your hands on such a premium Blackberry device when it first comes out will cost you roughly $299.99 ($281 US) on a 3-year contract and $599.99 sans contract.

So if forking out $300 or more for a new Blackberry isn’t really your style, perhaps you will instead be inticed to look at one of the other models Rogers sells, since Rogers just dropped the price of the Bold predecessor, Curve 8900 and 8520. Here are the new prices, which make those devices much more attractive:
- BlackBerry Bold 9000: $99.99 (in black or white)
- BlackBerry Curve 8900: $79.99
- BlackBerry Curve 8520: $49.99 (in black or lavender)
It is nice to see those prices drop, so now there’s a Blackberry option for every price range.
