Google Phone (Nexus One) appears in lots of photos

The Google Phone, which will be called Nexus One and may (or may not) be the next best thing since the iPhone, has appeared in a set of live photos.

As mentioned before, the handset is made by HTC for Google, but it doesn’t have HTC’s logo on it. In fact, Google’s logo can’t be seen either – there’s only the Android logo on the back, alongside a QR code.

From the info gathered until now, it looks like the Google Phone / Nexus One has a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Google Navigation, Google Goggles and a 5MP camera with flash.

The upcoming handset runs a new Android 2.1 OS with 3D elements and a new grid icon.

Here are the live photos, via Engadget:

It’s said that the Google Phone / Nexus One will be sold directly by Google starting early 2010, as well as via T-Mobile USA (the first carrier to sell the world’s first Android smartphone – G1). Interestingly, Verizon has apparently  “declined to help Google push the new phone”.

You mean you had a working version of the Nexus one in your hands, and all you give us is just ONE menu from the software it's running?

WHY? We have seen the outside of the phone in other sites,. But it's the software we mostly care about. Please add more pics showing the menus.
