Google schedules Android event for January 5 while new Nexus One preview shows up
It’s finally confirmed : Google is readying an Android press conference for January 5, 2010.
The Mountain View giant doesn’t give too many details about what will happen on this date, but it talks about how the first Android phone (G1, launched one year ago) and the Android platform have “spurred mobile product innovation”. Furthermore, Google says that this (i.e. the Android products launched until now) is “just the beginning of what’s possible”.
So, yeah, I’d say there are 99% chances for the long-rumored Nexus One to be announced on January 5.

Speaking of which, a new video preview of the Nexus One has just appeared on YouTube. The guy who handles the phone actually says it’s a review, but you’ll know it’s not after you watch it:
As you can see in the video, the Google Nexus One is, once again, compared with the iPhone. Well, I foresee a tough fight between the two smartphones in 2010, especialy after Apple will launch its 4th generation iPhone.
