glad you appreciate the feedback.

i was thinking this because too many websites alienate new readers because of being too centric to their own native location and language. it's like people in their own close-nit communities speaking slang in a way that outsiders, even people in other neighbourhoods, can't relate to.

so when websites think with limiting thought, then communicate to others with that limiting language……it limits potential. potential to reach a far wider audience and effect more change in the world.

isn't that the point of being on the internet, to reach as many as possible with your message and change as much as possible? isn't that the purpose of “news” to inform as many as possible?

ironic that news for the masses be delivered with such limiting language that only local people can understand it

You do have a point there. I guess that most websites don't clarify the time-lines because about 90% of the world's population lives in the Northern Hemisphere, where spring is always spring, autumn is always autumn and so on – regardless of the country.

Sure enough, if you live in Australia, Argentina, South Africa etc, our spring is your autumn. But since China's spring is my spring (the European one, the North American one and so on), it didn't cross my mind to be more specific.

can you and every other website on the planet please refrain from describing time-lines according to your native country's seasons?

your Spring is another country's Autumn for the same time on the calendar.

please try and realise that your website and the information you wish to share planet-wide is read by people outside your native country. think more about everybody when you think about time of the year.

especially when you don't even say "which" Spring you're talking about. the home country of this website is hardly advertised in any obvious way, so how are people around the world supposed to decode your time references?
