Mozilla officially launches Firefox Mobile for Maemo
By ilinca on 30 Jan 10No more beta versions or release candidates for Mozilla Firefox for Maemo: the mobile browser for Nokia’s N900 has been finally (and officially) launched.
Presented by Mozilla as “the most modern mobile Web browser available”, Firefox for Maemo 5 brings most of the features that you can enjoy when using Firefox for desktop.
These features include: weave-sync, add-ons (more than 40 available at the moment), Awesome Bar, location-aware browsing, safe browsing, desktop synchronization, and support for more than 30 languages.
To download Firefox mobile (aka Fennec), visit http://firefox.com/m on your Nokia N900.
Now let’s wait for Mozilla to announce Firefox for Android (which should come in February, in a beta version for the beginning), or, why not, for Symbian.
