Alcatel OT-980 is like a Palm Pre with Android (video)
Like most of the major and not so major mobile phone makers, Alcatel has embraced Android, too, and its first device to run Google’s OS is the Alcatel OT-980.
Design-wise, the Alcatel OT-980 borrows a lot from the Palm Pre, although the current design may be changed, since this is only a prototype – the final version of the handset should be unveiled at MWC 2010.
The OT-980 will be an affordable phone (its price should be lower than the one of HTC Tattoo), and that’s because its features are not exactly on the high-end side: QVGA resistive touchscreen display, Android 1.6, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, accelerometer, 3.5mm headset jack, 2MP camera, MicroSD card support, 600MHz processor and 192MB of RAM.
FrAndroid has some hands-on photos, as well as a video of the Alcatel OT-980:

Alcatel OT-980 should be launched before mid-2010 via Orange France, in several color versions. No word yet about the phone’s release in other markets.
