Google Shopper Android app lets you shop smarter

Google has launched yet another application for Android – this time, it’s one that should help you shop smarter.

The app is called Google Shopper and uses your Android phone’s camera to scan “most barcodes”, as well as cover art of CDs, DVDs, video games and books. After you’ve scanned the desired product or barcode, Google Shopper provides product-related info, like where to buy and for how much.

Info can also be provided if you simply speak the name of the product you’re looking for.

Google Shopper can be downloaded via Android Market, or you can scan the QR code found here. Apparently, the application is compatible with all Android OS versions.
