Nokia Explore and Share technology provides ultra fast data transfers

The folks over at Nokia Research Center have recently developed a new service / technology concept, called Nokia Explore and Share, which should help you transfer content to your Nokia phone, “wirelessly and fast.”

The Explore and Share service was demoed in a Nokia retail sore, showing how a user who has just bought a new Nokia handset can transfer content to it via a PC that features a touch-sensitive screen.

Nokia doesn’t say what wireless technology it’s using for Explore and Share, but it’s really fast – it can transfer a whole music album in less than 10 seconds.

Unfortunately, Nokia didn’t mention when end users will be able to enjoy the speed of Explore and Share. Let’s hope it happens soon and the technology won’t be used just in Nokia’s retail store.

Again, just another fancy idea that will NEVER see the reality of day. More vaporware from Nokia, the company that shows and promises, yet doesn't deliver.
