Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 – India’s first phone compatible with AAA batteries
Olive Telecommunication, the Indian company that announced Zipbooks last year, has introduced the Olive FrvrOn V-G2300, presented as “India’s first dual powered mobile phone compatible with any AAA battery.”
The FrvrOn is just a low-end handset, but the fact that you can use an AAA battery to power it certainly makes it special.
The phone features a 1.5 inch CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels, FM radio, polyphonic ringtones, speakerphone, preloaded games and a stereo headset.

The Olive FrvrOn V-G2300 is really cheap: only 1699 INR (about $37). More info can be found at Olive’s official website.
Olive should also launch an Android smartphone, but there are no clear details about this at the moment.
