Nokia X2 coming soon; Nokia X9 concept shows up

Nokia has officially launched only two Xseries phones: the Nokia X3 and the Nokia X6. The Finnish giant surely has more Xseries devices in the making, and one of them seems to be the Nokia X2.

According to a post found at NokiaPort (via All About Phones), the Indonesian equivalent of the FCC has approved the Nokia X2, confirming its existence.

There are few details about the X2, but it’s said that the phone has quad-band GSM connectivity and Bluetooth. Nokia’s new naming convention suggests that the X2 is a low-end handset – it will probably be cheap and thus successful.

No word yet on when Nokia plans to announce the X2.

Until then, however, we’ve stumbled upon a Nokia X9 concept (via Pestaola):

The Nokia X9 is based on the X6 and should come with an AMOLED touchscreen display, 12MP camera with HD video recording, HDMI port, and dedicated Facebook and Twitter keys.

The concept looks nice, so let’s hope there will be a real Nokia X9 similar to it (maybe running Symbian^4).

The X9 will never happen, the X2 as you stated correctly, will be a success due to it being an affordable low end handset WITH quadband! Nokia also mentioned they are unlikely to release any sort of high-end smartphones this year other than thier N Series portfolio, which at this time also seems unlikely this fall with the excpetion of the N95 Successor, the N8

Nokia has not written its name on the front, which is strange…
    Also 2 usb ports on a phone… this must be a joke…

Yes Sahil, it's a concept phone, meaning it's not real and the fantasy creation/mockup from the person who created it. The Nokia name wasn't included probably because of infringing the Nokia name on a product that isn't real, however most other concepts have used the brand name. Maybe the designer forgot to put the logo on.

The X series aren't smartphones. They're for media.
