LG Velvet is Italy’s Cookie Plus GS500

After the LG LinkMe, Italy now gets yet another LG phone that has a changed name: the LG Velvet, which is actually the Cookie Plus GS500 (officially announced in February).

The LG Velvet / Cookie Plus is only 11.5mm thick and features: a 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen display, Flash UI, accelerometer, HSDPA (3.6 Mbps), Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, music player, Muvee Studio, web browser, 3MP camera, 50MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 8GB).

The new phone also comes with a native Facebook client, as well as access to Twitter.

The LG Velvet should be available in Italy via TIM for €179 free of contract, in two color versions: Black Matt and Imperial Purple.
