BlueAnt intros rugged T1 Bluetooth headset, Q1 Android app (video)
BlueAnt has announced the upcoming availability of T1, a rugged Bluetooth headset that has some unique features.
The BlueAnt T1 is the company’s first headset to come with Wind Armour Technology – which can provide clear audio in wind speeds of up to 22 miles per hour (according to BlueAnt, this is “the best wind noise reduction of any Bluetooth headset on the market”).
The T1 is also the first Bluetooth headset that features “caller name announce”, always letting you know who is calling by reading out the caller’s name.
Other features include: durable exterior and soft touch silicon covers, multipoint (for connecting two phones at the same time), A2DP streaming, 6 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby time.
BlueAnt T1 will be commercially available starting May for $79.99.

BlueAnt has also announced a free Q1 Android application. Obviously designed for owners of the BlueAnt Q1 headset, the Q1 Android app allows “text messages to be concisely and discretely read aloud directly into a headset”, and offers support information, pairing and connection guidance, as well as a direct link to BlueAnt Customer Service.

The BlueAnt Q1 Android app will be available starting April 1 at BlueAnt’s official website, or via Android Market. It will be compatible with phones running Android 2.0 or higher.
