HTC Desire to land at Vodafone UK on April 8
Vodafone is the last major British mobile carrier to confirm the launch of HTC Desire (after T-Mobile, Orange and O2) – the new smartphone will be available at Vodafone UK starting April 8.
You can already pre-order the Desire via Vodafone’s website. The handset is free with a 24-month contract of at least £30 per month.
Running Android 2.1, the HTC Desire is similar in many ways to the Google Nexus One (which should be available to Vodafone customers soon). The Desire features a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, optical trackpad, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash.
Vodafone UK will also launch the HTC Legend – possibly also on April 8, since the Legend is available for pre-order, too.
