Japanese customers seem to really want the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Announced for Japan back in January, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is apparently available now via NTT DoCoMo – and it looks like its release is somewhat of a major event for some mobile users.
According to Sony Ericsson Germany, lots of NTT DoCoMo customers have waited in front of stores for the new Android smartphone to become available – you know, the same way Apple fans are waiting for the iPhone every year.
Below you have a photo showing customers waiting for the Xperia X10. Of course, it could be an April Fools’ Day joke, although I don’t see the point in doing it this way.
In related news, Mobile Syrup has it that the X10 will be available at Rogers in Canada starting the next few weeks, for $150 on contract. Not a bad price, that’s for sure.
Also related, SoftBank (one of DoCoMo’s rivals) will launch the HTC Desire in Japan in late April.
