Samsung Monte S5620 launched in India
India is getting more and more affordable touchscreen phones. Not long after HTC announced its HTC Smart (priced at 9,990 INR), Samsung has now introduced the Monte S5620 in India, too.
Officially unveiled in February, the Samsung Monte S5620 features a 3 inch WQVGA display, TouchWiz UI 2.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, Google Maps, social networking integration, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth, stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.2MP camera, 200MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (a 2GB card is included in the box).
The Samsung Monte S5620 is even cheaper than the HTC Smart – it costs 8,850 INR ($198) and it should be available right about now.
The Monte is one of the few new Samsung touchscreen phones for India that are not part of the Corby family – Sammy launched quite many Corby phones in India lately, including the Corby Pop, Corby Speed, Corby Plus and Corby Pro.
