Apple schedules iPhone OS 4.0 event for April 8
Apple, which sold 300,000 iPads in only one day, announced that an iPhone OS 4.0 event would be held on April 8 (this Thursday) at 10AM Pacific Time.
The company promises a “sneak peek of the next generation of iPhone OS software” – which probably means it will showcase most of the new features iPhone OS 4 comes with.
Of course, this may not mean iPhone OS 4.0 will be available on April 8. It’s likely that Apple will launch the new OS only when its new iPhone (or iPhones) will be unveiled – possibly in June.
Anyway, we’re only few days away from finding out if iPhone OS 4.0 will indeed come with multitasking support for third-party apps, and with all the other rumored features.
