Samsung Corby TV and Metro TV announced in India
Samsung is launching yet another Corby phone in India – the Samsung Corby TV, which, as its name suggests, lets users watch live TV.
The Corby TV comes with a MimobiTV Mobile TV application (developed by Apalya) that provides access to more than 40 TV channels.
Other than that, the Corby TV is similar to the CDMA Corby Speed launched earlier this year, featuring a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, OHM support, FM radio, Bluetooth, 2MP camera and MicroSD card support. Interestingly, it looks like owners of the Corby Speed will be able to access the new mobile TV features, too.
Another phone announced by Samsung in India is the Metro TV, which also comes with the MimobiTV app. The Metro TV is a candybar that features a 2 inch screen, FM radio, Bluetooth, mobile tracker, 2MP camera, MicroSD card slot, and support for 9 regional Indian languages.
The Samsung Corby TV costs 9,699 INR ($218), while the Samsung Metro TV will be sold for 6,999 INR ($158)
