Rogers’ and Bell’s BlackBerry Pearl 9100 to cost $449 free of contract
Apart from coming to Fido, the unannounced BlackBerry Pearl 9100 will also be released via Rogers and Bell in Canada – although we don’t know when exactly.
What we do know is the no-contract price of RIM’s upcoming smartphone.
MobileSyrup has it that both Rogers and Bell will sell the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 for $449.99 to customers who don’t need a new contract agreement. The price with an annual contract is not known, but it’s expected to be around $50.
The Pearl 9100 (pictured above) looks nicer than the older BlackBerry Pearls and it should feature Wi-Fi, 3G, SureType QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, dedicated music keys, and a 3MP camera with LED flash. It will be interesting to see if the Pearl 9100 comes with BlackBerry OS 6.0, like RIM’s rumored new 9670 clamshell.
