The Optimus runs Android (version 1.6 or 2.1, it’s not clear yet which of them) and features a customized UI. It also offers a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen display, quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS (900/2100 MHz) connectivity, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Social Networking Client (which integrates Facebook, Twitter and Bebo accounts), Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, DivX and Xvid support, 3MP camera with geotagging, MicroSD card support, and a 1500 mAh battery.
Access to Android Market and lots of Google services are also featured.
LG didn’t announce the price of Optimus GT540. The handset should be available across Europe shortly after its debut in the UK, in four color versions: black, white, silver and pink.
