LG Cookie Fresh GS290 launched in the UK (via Vodafone, Virgin)
Shortly after officially introducing the Optimus G540, LG has now launched another new touchscreen phone in the UK – the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh, which should be available soon at Vodafone, Virgin, Phones4u and Tesco.
Unlike the Optimus, the LG Cookie Fresh is not an Android handset. In fact it’s not even a smartphone, since it only uses LG’s Cartoon-styled UI.
According to LG, “sociability is a key feature” of the phone, as it features a simple SNS (Social Networking Services) connector, which allows direct access to Facebook and other services.
The LG Cookie Fresh also comes with a WQVGA touchscreen display, widgets, LiveSquare, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, MP3 player, FM tuner/recorder, 2MP camera, and MicroSD card support.
LG didn’t announce the price of Cookie Fresh GS290 for the UK
