HTC HD Mini now available in India
HTC continues to roll-out smartphones in India this year (no surprise here, of course), and after the Brew-based Smart and the Legend with Android 2.1, it has now launched the HD Mini.
The HTC HD Mini runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and it’s the HD2’s little brother (by the way, the HD2 is also available in India, as of December 2009).
The features of HD Mini include Sense UI, a 3.2 inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, HSDPA (kind of useless in India at the moment), Wi-Fi, GPS, Twitter and Facebook integration, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, 5MP autofocus camera, 384MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a Qualcomm 7227 600 MHz processor, and MicroSD card support.
Indian customers should be able to buy the HTC HD Mini for 23,490 INR (about $519). A bit expensive for a smartphone that will be stuck with WM 6.5.3 – since it will certainly not be upgraded to Windows Phone 7.
