U.S. Cellular’s Samsung Acclaim R880 Android phone shows up
U.S. Cellular announced earlier this week that it’s planning to launch the Samsung Acclaim R880 – its second Android smartphone, after the HTC Desire.
The carrier didn’t show any photo of the Acclaim yet, but Engadget claims to have an image of it.
As already reported, the Samsung Acclaim is a touchscreen device (3.2 inch, HVGA) with a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset runs Android 2.1 and also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Google Mobile Services, 3MP camera, MicroSD card slot.
There’s something wrong with its navigation pad, but other than that the Acclaim looks decent:
U.S. Cellular hopes to offer the Samsung Acclaim R880 starting June. The smartphone’s price is not know at the moment.
