Samsung Champ announced, might be the cheapest Samsung touchscreen phone yet
Not long after unveiling the S3370 Corby 3G / Acton, Samsung has now announced yet another cheap touchscreen phone, called Samsung Champ (this has nothing to do with the old Champ SCH-S399 for India).
The new Champ is a rather unusual handset, because it has a really small QVGA touchscreen display that measures only 2.4 inches. Even Samsung’s Corby phones (known for being utterly affordable) have larger displays (2.8 inches).
The Samsung Champ also features TouchWiz Lite, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, access to Samsung Apps, 1.3MP camera and MicroSD card support.
Samsung Champ should be available starting June, in emerging markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The phone will have different color versions, including black, white, brown, and pink. The price of Samsung Champ is not known, but I think Samsung can push the boundaries of cheapness here with a price well under $150.
